Philadelphia - The 1960 Ingot
From the Buckhollow Collection with photographs courtesy of Bob Holloway, the United States Mint Philadelphia silver ingot No. 295, 31.33 ozs and Melt No. 73 is the only known example dated 1960. All United States Mint Philadelphia silver ingots are rare but these one off years of 1956 and 1960 are absolutely the most unique of all.
Interestingly, all United States Mint Philadelphia silver ingots in the registry fit into the overall numerical range of the 1946 ingots of No. 3 to No. 309. No. 295 fits the range but the Melt No. 73 is unique.
